Years of Ecommerce
Four things you won’t find at most Shopify B2B agencies.
25+ years building ecommerce.
Founded in 1998, long before Shopify existed. We’ve shipped on Magento, BigCommerce, and Shopify across two decades. That history shows up in how we architect for scale and the platform shifts we plan around.
We built our own B2B Shopify app.
We built the B2B Buyer Portal app to fill a gap in native Shopify B2B: company main contacts can’t manage their own users without filing support tickets. Available on the Shopify App Store to all our clients, the app lets their customers add, remove, and manage users themselves.
Built by operators, not consultants.
Our founder ran his own retail stores and ecommerce operations before founding ECP. We know what it’s like on your side of the table. Peak season pressure, ERP integrations that break, a CEO asking why the launch slipped.
Deep migration expertise.
Dedicated migration playbooks for Magento, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, and Salesforce to Shopify Plus. If your B2B store is on a legacy platform, we’ve done your migration before.
Full-stack B2B ecommerce on Shopify.
We’ve been building B2B on Shopify since Shopify Plus launched its native B2B features. We use the native stack where it’s strong, and we extend Shopify where your business needs more.
Company Accounts & Buyer Hierarchies
Multi-user company accounts, role-based permissions, location-based access, and self-service buyer management. Buyers manage their own teams without your team filing tickets.
Custom Pricing & Catalogs
Customer-specific price lists, volume tiers, contract pricing, and exclusive product catalogs. From simple percentage discounts to complex tiered pricing matrices.
Payment Terms & Credit Workflows
Net 15, 30, 60, and 90 payment terms with automated invoice generation. Credit application workflows, approval queues, and integration with your AR systems.
Bulk Ordering & Quick Order Forms
SKU-based quick order entry, CSV upload, saved order templates, and reorder-from-history flows. Built for buyers who order the same 200 SKUs every Monday.
ERP & Backend Integrations
NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, AS400, custom in-house systems. Inventory sync, order push, customer and pricing sync, designed to survive ERP downtime.
Quotes, Approvals & Workflows
Quote request flows, internal approval queues, sales rep assignments, and draft orders. The infrastructure for actual B2B sales motions, not just self-service checkout.
Large & Complex Catalogs
10K to 50K+ SKUs with variant configurations, technical specs, datasheets, and B2B-specific product attributes. Catalog architecture that scales.
Shipping, Tax & Fulfillment
Custom shipping rules per company, tax-exempt customer handling, multi-warehouse fulfillment, and integration with 3PLs. B2B logistics is rarely simple.
Unified B2B + DTC
Run wholesale and direct-to-consumer from one Shopify store, with separate experiences for each. One admin, one inventory, two distinct checkout paths.
B2B businesses doing $3M+ where ecommerce is the operation.
Distributors
Selling to retailers, dealers, and resellers across a network of buyers.
Manufacturers
Direct-to-trade sales channels with their own catalog and pricing logic.
Wholesalers
Multi-channel wholesale operations with both small-account and key-account buyers.
Brands with B2B + DTC
Consumer brands also selling to retailers, gifting partners, or corporate accounts.
The B2B Buyer Portal app.
We built our own Shopify app to fill a gap in native B2B: true buyer self-service. Company main contacts can add and remove users, manage locations, and assign permissions without ever filing a ticket with your team.
Available on the Shopify App Store at $39/month for any Shopify Plus merchant. Built on Shopify’s new customer account system and integrated with native B2B Companies, Catalogs, and Locations.
What the app handles for you:
- Self-service user management by buyers
- Add and remove shipping locations independently
- Location-based user permissions
- Built on Shopify’s new customer accounts
- Works with native B2B Companies, Catalogs, Locations
- Reduces B2B support tickets significantly
How a B2B project actually goes.
Every B2B engagement starts with discovery, ends with launch, and is honest about the messy middle in between. Here’s the shape of it.
Discovery
2 to 4 weeks. We map your B2B sales process, catalog structure, pricing logic, ERP integration points, and buyer workflows. Output: a detailed scope, architecture doc, and timeline.
Design & Plan
UX for buyer-facing flows, technical architecture for integrations, data migration plan. We design for the actual buyers, not theoretical ones.
Build & Integrate
Theme development, custom apps and Functions, ERP integration, data migration, B2B catalog setup. Senior developers, not handoffs to juniors.
Launch & Optimize
Phased rollout with select customers first, full launch, and ongoing optimization. Most clients stay on a retainer for years of continued development.

Questions we hear from B2B buyers.
Do I need Shopify Plus to run B2B on Shopify?
Native B2B features (Companies, Catalogs, payment terms) are now available across all Shopify plans, not just Plus. Shopify Plus adds higher API limits, multi-store support, checkout extensibility, and enterprise-grade SLAs. For brands doing $3M+ in revenue with complex B2B workflows, Plus is usually the right call. We help clients evaluate the right plan during discovery.
Can Shopify handle our B2B catalog with thousands of SKUs and customer-specific pricing?
Yes. We routinely build Shopify B2B stores with 10K to 50K+ SKUs and customer-specific pricing through Shopify’s native Catalog system, which assigns custom price lists per company. For more complex pricing (volume tiers, contract pricing, rep-managed discounts), we extend Shopify with Functions or custom apps. QC Supply runs 50K+ SKUs with full customer-specific pricing on the platform we built.
Can you integrate our ERP with Shopify B2B?
ERP integration is one of our core capabilities. We’ve integrated Shopify with NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, AS400, and custom in-house systems. Most B2B clients need at least one-way inventory sync, order push, and customer/pricing sync. We design the integration to be reliable, auditable, and resilient to ERP downtime.
How do net payment terms work on Shopify B2B?
Shopify’s native B2B supports Net 15, Net 30, Net 60, and Net 90 payment terms out of the box. Approved buyers can place orders without immediate payment, with invoices generated automatically. We typically pair this with credit application workflows, automated invoice delivery, and integration with accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) for receivables management.
Can we serve both B2B and DTC customers from the same Shopify store?
Yes, and most of our clients do exactly this. Shopify B2B and Shopify online stores run from the same admin, with B2B buyers seeing their logged-in catalog and pricing while DTC shoppers see retail pricing. The complexity is in the implementation: distinct experiences without conflicting checkout flows, separate URL structures where needed, and clean access control for B2B-only product visibility.
How long does a Shopify B2B build typically take?
Standard B2B implementations (small to mid-sized catalog, native Shopify features only, basic ERP integration) typically take 12 to 16 weeks. Complex builds with 10K+ SKUs, multi-system integrations, custom workflows, and a parallel DTC experience usually run 20 to 30 weeks. Every project starts with a 2 to 4 week discovery phase that produces a detailed timeline, scope, and architecture document.
